Description
Starr Books offers Quantum Scientific Pre-Calculus, Part 1 (of 4) begins in Unit 1 with an exploration of graphing equations and functions as well as performing operations on functions. Topics include transformations of functions, finding inverse functions, and variation. Unit 2 focuses on quadratic functions and division of polynomials, including long division and synthetic division. Complex numbers are introduced in Unit 2 and continued in Unit 3. This last unit also includes lessons on the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, finding zeros of polynomial functions, and graphing rational functions. (Please see thumbnails for the full table of contents and some sample pages.)
Each part of this pre-calculus series is broken into three units with 15 lessons each for a total of 45 lessons per part. The four books in the series offer 180 lessons for a full year’s study. Lessons include examples and practice exercises. (Be sure to download the free Exercise Answer Key for each part of the series.) The individual lessons can be used as study guides, test preparation materials, and review of previously-learned content. The exercise sets can also be used as worksheet, quizzes, and tests.
