Hi! I created this interactive science notebook for my gifted PreK-2nd-grade students. This product includes a cover, lab safety rules, the engineering design process and a sample mini lesson. The mini lesson instructs students to "create a walking animal" using materials given, and walks them through the engineering design process within that activity.

These pages are meant to be cut and pasted into a composition notebook for the students to use.

Since this is geared towards Early Childhood, I included student-friendly language and it is intended to be read to the students as whole-class instruction. The activity can be done individually or in small groups.
