Primary Math Assessment

Description

Have you ever had a student that has had trouble in Math and you're not too sure why? Are you looking for a snapshot of a student's understanding that's functional, straightforward and easy to use? This is a great assessment tool, one page that will take you minutes to complete and will help you set up Math groups and understand where a student is at throughout the year when learning their Math foundations. "It is recommended that you assess each student at the beginning of the year for you, as a teacher, to gain a better understanding of what basic Math foundations your student understands. These foundations are in a prescribed set, which if learned in order, will help your student gain a successful future in Math. After assessing which foundations they understand, I recommend that you teach the foundations from the top down, until they have learned the complete set. Helpful tip: Copy one of these for each student file to track individual math assessment throughout the year, can be used to make small math groups as well."
