Are your students struggling with the open-ended problems on state standardized tests? This template was designed to students completely answer open-ended word problems on the state tests. Personally I have used it and it has seemed to help everyone from the lowest to highest learner. They seem to love to say "Oh Snap!" so I designed this with their "likes" in mind. It could be used in any grade level.
I suggest you use this printable template for the first half of the year. As the year progresses you can encourage students to use the acronym on their own on regular paper.

So great and catchy - makes planning for word problems much easier
Thanks for sharing Sharon! I'm glad that you found this helpful. Kids generally dislike math word problems because they are overwhelmed with the steps. I found that once we started using this that they were less intimidated by the process. Hopefully your students will benefit from it too!
