After teaching students a reading strategy, give them a tangible sticky note takeaway, to help learning stick. They can keep their strategies organized on the strategy tracking form . This form should be made visible as students read independently, so they are able to hold themselves accountable in actively utilizing these strategies.

On the reverse side, you may consider having a “Compliment Card”, so students can celebrate the things they do well as readers. This form can be utilized in two ways.
