What others say
"This was a great way to review compound probability. Some of the problems were great just for reviewing, but then others provided a challenge."

"I loved this quick activity that helped my students understand the differences between independent and dependent probability. "

Description
Students will read through situations and decide if they are Independent or Dependent. Then they will calculate the probability of each requested event. These problems are a little more fun than traditional probability word problems!
This is great after students have already been introduced to probability and worked with both Independent and Dependent probabilities. I've used this in my Algebra 2, Algebra 3, and Advanced Topics of Math courses.

Quick Activity (Probability)
I loved this quick activity that helped my students understand the differences between independent and dependent probability.
The resource is good except the answer key doesn't go over how to actually do the problems. Also, there is an error with the answer key. #11 should be 0.0833, not 0.833, which could be misleading.
I used this when I was introducing this topic and my students found it very engaging and helpful. Thank you
Probability is a tough subject and even my honors geo kids struggle. This resource functioned as additional practice (which they are always begging for)
Not too many resources with independent vs dependent variables. I really like this resource for probability and have used it for a few years now.
I liked usung these problems as bellringers each morning. It was a good spiral review.
Awesome resource! My students loved this! Will use in the future.
