Are you looking for an engaging probability lesson PowerPoint or Google Slides to introduce basic probability concepts to your students? This 40-slide interactive probability presentation is designed to help students understand the foundations of probability through clear instruction, visuals, and hands-on practice.

This Introduction to Probability lesson begins with a step-by-step explanation of key probability vocabulary and concepts. Students will learn the meanings of important probability terms including:

  • Certain
  • Likely
  • Equally Likely
  • Unlikely
  • Impossible

Students will also learn how to represent probability numerically (for example, 1 in 6) and see how probability terms are organized along a probability continuum.

After the concept introduction, the presentation includes 29 practice slides that allow students to apply their understanding through a variety of probability problems and activities, including:

  • Pulling marbles from a bag
  • Spinners
  • Rolling dice
  • Drawing cards from a deck
  • Real-world probability word problems

These interactive probability practice slides keep students engaged while reinforcing key math concepts.

***A companion handout is also included in this file. Students can follow along and record answers on this handout as you progress through the PowerPoint!

This Probability PowerPoint Lesson is an excellent teaching resource that breaks down probability concepts in a clear, engaging, and student-friendly way.
