Description

Middle schoolers will love using what they've learned to create a file folder game. This resource contains everything you need to engage students:

  • Student handout - Gives the requirements of the game and a rubric
  • Committee assignments - Breaks groups into committees to design the game.
  • Brainstorming sheet
  • Additional guidance for students who need it - questions to help students identify the components they want their game to have
  • Assembly instructions for students who need more support
  • Feedback forms for students to provide after they've tested each other's games
  • Teacher's Guide with pacing instructions, modification suggestions, and grouping tips.

PBLs support the development of critical thinking, time management, organization skills, and problem solving skills in a student centered activity that students find engaging. This resource is easily differentiated according to learning preference and skill set.
