Using This Resource

This resource includes 7 sections as shown in the Table of Contents. Section 1 has 3 pages of matching questions. Students need to read the problems and solutions, then match them. In Section 2, students will read some problems, think up solutions, and fill in the graphic organizer. In Section 3, there are passages. Students need to read each passage, underline the problem and solution, then fill in the table. In Section 4, there are 3 texts. For each text, there are two versions for practice. The first version is full of multiple choice questions, so it’s for students who need more support. The second version has short-response questions, so it’s for students who need more challenge. Section 5 has some book excerpts from 4 books, and it follows the same format as the last section. Section 6 includes 4 writing tasks. The last section provides the answer key to all the questions except writing questions.
