Description
Want to motivate your students to WANT to improve at word problems????
Make it a class versus class competition if you teach multiple math classes.
If you are self-contained, you can make it a competition between the students. I used it with my second-grade class one year and the goal was to try to beat the class best.
The content areas are color-coded. Shade in each bar by color so you can easily pick out which topic is a strength or weakness.
Regardless of the situation, no matter how I've used it, the kids really get excited when they have a lot of classmates to solve a problem correctly.
Don't forget to reward the winners!
