This is a poster created to establish high expectations for independent writing. Students can refer to this poster as they are working through their planning and editing their drafts. I would introduce this by writing a piece whole group and then go through the checklist together as a whole group scavenger hunt. For added engagement, include errors for them to find in the mentor text they are analyzing. This will print to a high resolution large poster.

Galactic Battle is a whole group game that can be played in any content area. This game is all about group collaboration and competition. Students work both independently and collaboratively to solve projected questions (high rigor is great because they will have the opportunity to discuss and defend their answers). Files are saved as PNG so you can upload them into a slideshow platform of your choice.

This bundle helps support the use of math content operational vocabulary. These days math is just as much about reading as it is about computation. These activities can but used in small group, stations, and independently.

This is a great get to know you activity for the beginning of the year! Throw on some music and let the kids mingle and get to know each other with a fun math twist. I have several open desks and work stations positioned around my room labeled with one of these tags. If a student is having difficulty staying on task or working independently they may go sit at any of these desks as long as they are open. Students may move to an opportunity desk voluntarily or the teacher may ask a student to sit at the desk until a task is completed. This is something that is presented as a tool for students to use and not as a punishment or disciplinary practice.

These posters are designed to be posted outside your door. As students enter your room, they can choose how they want to be greeted. The choices include a fist bump, high five, and elbow bump. I can create a product with more choices upon requests at an additional cost.

This is a Spring Break challenge that incorporates math, reading, writing, and science.

Teachers LOVE their sticky notes. If I don't write it down, I will forget it. I used to be the person who put sticky notes all over my laptop and computer screens. I created this document to help keep my notes organized. I placed it in a document frame and attach the sticky notes to the glass as I write them.
