Students learn to think their way through problem solving with this graphic organizer.
I make a ton of copies of this at the beginning of the year. While I know our copies are precious, I have found it to be worth it. Once students are familiar with the process, they don't have to use it as much or they use a short hand version on scrap paper. I also always keep a stack in my problem solving center. If your worried about copies, laminating them and using the thin vis-a-vis markers work wonderfully. It just takes a little water to wipe off.
The sentence frames are included because I found that they were extremely helpful when doing multi-step problems for my ESOL and struggling math students. However, I made this a word document so that it would be easy to delete them or customize them if needed.
