This basic problem solving process chart has a small amount of space for students to write thoughts for each step of the process. This page works for problem solving, goal setting and evaluation, and the design process too. It's very simple but can be used in most any class. I've used it in English to have students track motivations and decisions of characters in novels. Social Studies students can use it to show how famous historical figures made decisions or solved problems. It's a great tool for Math class to discuss how to work through word problems or proofs. It gives students a chance to visualize a process they think about quickly.
