Description
Here are two sheets I use in the classroom to help students solve problems. One sheet is for an individual who needs to figure out a problem on their own. The other sheet is for students who need to solve a problem between the two of them.
I use these sheets for many reasons... The one sheet to first get them to examine their part in the situation (which takes a long time to get to), to help with any anger and frustration they are having, to give them time to cool off and to help them think through a whole process of solving a disagreement.
The second sheet helps students think about all the steps in solving a problem. So often they come directly to an adult to help solve their problems. This makes them stop and think about it before coming to the teacher.
My students know they need to fill these out before coming to me.
I also use these to document any situation.
