Problem Solving: Writing About How you Solved the Problem
Share

Description

This is a form I created for my students who are not able to write about or verbalize how they solved a math application problem. It breaks down the process step by step using visual cues and sentence starters. In each of the three planners there is a space where you can type in or write your word problem. The children fill in the information on the planning page then take each step and put it together to write about how they solved the entire word problem.
Included are the following three planners:
- single digit addition/subtraction
- double digit addition/subtraction
- three digit addition/subtraction
