Description

Use this no-prep digital PowerPoint (or Google Slides™) lesson to introduce the comprehension skill of problem and solution! Teach students important vocabulary and questions to ask themselves while reading. Interactive examples will allow students to see learn what to look for in text. Then, practice finding problem and solution with two fun activities! This makes a great introductory lesson or extra practice.

What's in the PowerPoint:

  • Definitions: problem, solution, steps to the solution
  • Thinking questions to help identify all three
  • Slides with example text excerpts to practice identifying all three
  • Practice activity: identifying a reasonable solution
  • Practice activity: identifying the problem and generating possible solutions

DIRECTIONS FOR ACCESSING GOOGLE SLIDES™

(Easiest) Open the PPTX file and put it in presentation mode. Go to the second page and click on the green box at the bottom. This will bring you to a force copy page in Google™. Save a copy to your drive and start using it!

(Alternative) Open the PPTX file and go to the second slide. Right click the invisible box around the green rectangle. Click "Hyperlink" and "Open Hyperlink". This will bring you to a force copy page in Google™. Save a copy to your drive and start using it!

DIRECTIONS FOR OPENING LINKS ON THE CREDITS PAGE

Open the PPTX file and put it in presentation mode. Go to the last page where the credits are. Hover over different parts of the page to find links back to the different sellers' TPT stores, including mine!
