Description

Help your learners identify the problem and solution with these reading task cards! The no-prep digital resource can be used in Google Slides or Seesaw or in a quiz format in Google Forms. You may also print the task cards and recording sheets. They’re great for individual use and literacy centers!

The file includes easy-to-follow tutorials for assigning the activities in Google Classroom and Microsoft OneDrive. It can be used on iPads as well. It’s great for distance learning!

How to use the activity in Google Slides or Seesaw:


  • Students will read the text on each slide.
  • They should determine the problem or solution (according to the question asked on the slide). They should move the letter of their answer to the bottom of the slide.
  • If correct, they’ll see a happy face.


How to use the Google Forms activity:


  • You will send the form to your students.
  • Students will read the text for each problem.
  • They will click the circle next to the answer.
  • When they finish answering all 20 questions, they will click “submit” and may see which answers were correct and which were incorrect.
  • You can easily assign the activity if you use Google Classroom (instructions for this are included in the pdf).


How to use the printable task cards:


  • Print the cards on card stock in color or black and white. Laminate, if desired, and cut apart the cards. Print recording sheets for each student.
  • Place cards in a literacy center with recording sheets.
  • Learners read each card, determine the problem or solution (according to the question asked on the card), and color in the corresponding circle on the answer sheet.
  • An answer key is included for quick checking.
