Description

Procedure bingo is a classroom activity that can help students learn and retain classroom procedures. Teachers can use bingo boards to encourage students and keep track of what procedures they've mastered. Some say that procedure bingo can be played at the beginning of the year or after winter break. After a class master's a procedure the teacher will cross that procedure off his or her card (which should be printed as a poster) and the students will match with their cards Here's how to play procedure bingo:

  1. Give each student a bingo card
  2. The teacher calls out a word, phrase, question, or definition
  3. Students find the word or picture on their card and cover it
  4. The first student to cover five words in a row, either diagonally, vertically, or across, yells "Bingo" and wins
  5. If a student claims to have bingo and is incorrect, they are disqualified from that round
