Description

These dictation sheets are to accompany a phonics reading intervention lesson. After introducing a decoding skill and providing direct instruction on it, you can choose from a variety of scaffolded dictation sheets. Students will engage in a variety of dictation tasks including writing letter sounds, encoding regular words, encoding irregular “trick” words, and a sentence dictated by you. You should only dictate previously mastered letter sounds or “trick” words. Words/sentences should only include the skill of the day.
