Description

This Project Based Learning Set includes everything that you need to complete a PBL unit on sled engineering and advertising. We did this in five days, but you may want to lengthen or shorten your unit.

There is an outline page for each day and it includes the schedule that WE used, based on our regular academic school schedule. It also includes the visitors that spoke to our class so that you can see what we did to involve the community and the engineering career in our unit. We also included our high school media students to film and produce our commercials, giving them another project in their class as well. I have included a blank schedule page for you to use.

There is a standards and essential questions page. Everything that you need to create booklets to keep each student or group organized is included. There are also two student self-assessment rubrics included for the completion of your projects to use for scoring/grading.

I have also included pictures to help guide you through the process. And of course the teacher needs to take a trip down the hill first!

I wanted to do this as an after school project, but they recently tore out our hillside. Once I find a new location, I am hoping to do this. The explanation and relationship to standards are great!
