Project: Color By Number
Share

Description

Students will create their own color by number activity using the editable directions included. The directions provide a checklist for the skills that need to be included in the project. An answer key is also required. My students LOVED this project which we used to review skills from the first part of the year after winter break, especially when they got to exchange color by number activities with classmates, providing for a fun time of solid math practice.

I think this is a great idea for students at or above grade level, but my students found this very frustrating to start. I think it would require more support than the intended use of the assignment to get them to buy-in to the activity because it needs more independent thinking. It felt more like I had to lead them through the whole thing instead of being able to go on their own.
