Description

This is a 9 page lesson designed to cover at a minimum of 6 hours of class time in an ELA or integrated ELA class. The lesson is broken up into 6 phases. During this lesson students will analyze models to inform their ideas, improve their ideas from peer feedback, participate in group discussion using a protocol, complete writing assignments, create an infographic and exhibit it for an audience. Performance-based assessment prompts are included, in addition to student handouts (ready to reproduce) for brainstorming and discussion protocol.
