Description

For this project, students choose a social statistic of their choice, learning about Public Service Announcements, complete a worksheet that guides students through the steps of the project, and make a brochure or poster. The extension activity is recording a PSA that can be shared on the morning announcements for the school. The math involved is: rates, unit rates, defining variables, the constant of proportionality (easily removed if not preferred), a table of solutions, and graphing. Students are also responsible for writing a detailed paragraph. Students can complete the project independently or with a partner (the division of labor is detailed in the project). The rubric is included in this bundle.
