Description

Turn abstract math rules into colorful, memorable visuals with this Properties of Addition & Multiplication Poster Project. Students select one property of addition or multiplication and design a poster that represents it using only pictures, symbols, and creativity (no numbers or letters allowed — except where specified!).

This project blends math practice with art and critical thinking, making it perfect for interactive learning, math centers, or end-of-unit assessments. Students will:

✔ Choose one property (Associative, Commutative, Identity, Inverse, or Multiplication Property of Zero)
✔ Illustrate the property using drawings or symbols
✔ Provide the definition in their own words
✔ Show five examples — including at least two with variables
✔ Add creativity, color, and even a theme to their work!

By the end, you’ll have a gallery of unique, student-created posters that make the properties of math stick.
