Description

Students will be engaged, talking, and up and moving with this constant of proportionality / direct variation partner card activity. Students must recall information for this unit by answering the question from their partner. This activity is structured around Kagan Quiz Quiz Trade.

Directions to play a Quiz, Quiz, Trade: Each student gets 1 question card. Stand up, hand up, pair up. Student A reads their question to student B. If Student B struggles, Student A can provide hints. Student B then asks their question to Student A. When students have answered the questions, they trade cards and then find a new partner using stand up, hand up, pair up.

You could also use these as flashcards for students to practice independently.

25 Quiz quiz trade cards with answers to practice vocabulary for 7.RP.2 - Proportionality / Direct Variation. Suggestion: If you need more than 25 cards, choose some of the most important to be repeated so that students see that question more often.

Covers: Concepts of direction variation, constant of proportionality, and writing equations.

Directions: Print slides 4 to a page. Fold page in half to match question and answer. Questions in blue, answers in yellow. I suggest you laminate cards before use.

This activity got my students up and moving to review a concept they were struggling with. Constant of Proportionality can be very difficult for students t grasp. There were many AHA! moments!
