Description

This bundle includes 5 products to teach the subskills of the CCSS 8.EE.B.5, and largely to prepare for the unit on y = mx + b. I found reviewing y = kx was hugely helpful in students accessing non-proportional linear relationships.

Each resource is scaffolded to maximize student access and is varied to increase engagement and proficiency. The scaffolds are removed per gradual release to promote student independence. The preview file, also linked here, includes the suggested order of delivery and implementation guide for the sections in each resource.

Answer keys are included! Please reach out with questions/concerns. Thank you!

Graph proportional relationships, interpreting the unit rate as the slope of the graph. Compare two different proportional relationships represented in different ways. For example, compare a distance-time graph to a distance-time equation to determine which of two moving objects has greater speed.
