Description
This is a fun addition to your math curriculum for Halloween week, or it may help you spice up a science unit on pumpkins! Students measure the height of a pumpkin with cubes, the circumference with a string, the weight with a scale, and test if their pumpkin will sink or float. This could be done in a large group or center format. Hope your little pumpkins have a blast with this hands-on exploration activity!

Just what I needed. Thanks
This is just what I was looking for! We are painting our pumpkins after we weigh and measure them and this recording sheet will allow us to make predictions that don't require cutting open the pumpkins (we will examine the inside of a pumpkin as a separate activity). Thank you!
