This is a fun and easy project for kids on Halloween! It's a magic math trick! Each student makes four pumpkins and writes the corresponding numbers on each. Then the fun begins!
The student will ask a volunteer to choose a number from the pumpkin. The volunteer tells the student which pumpkins his/her number appears on, and magically... the student will know (calculate) the answer!
I have each student in my class make a set of 4 pumpkins to take home and share.
