This activity allows students to observe and collect data using mini pumpkins and mini gourds. It is a perfect math and science unit for the fall. Each student will have a recording sheet for all of their findings. The recording sheet also takes the student through the scientific method and provides space for them to list materials and the steps they will take to experiment. Activities include measuring circumference, finding weight, counting seeds, sink/float, and more. My second graders loved this activity!
