Description
Place Value Cards! Standard Form, Word Form, Expanded Form & Base Ten Models! Kindergarten Math, First Grade Math, Second Grade Math! Pumpkin Place Value Matching Cards are great for Fall Math Activities in your classroom!
There are SO many different ways to use these number cards! I included a color version of the cards if you’d like to print and laminate them! I also included the black and white versions of every page so that you can print them and have students use them individually or use them in a different way!
This product includes the following sets of cards. Each set includes standard form, expanded form, word form and base ten model. Each set is included in both color and black and white:
•All teen numbers (11-20) (Orange Border)
•20 cards within 100 (Orange Border)
•10 cards within 200 (Yellow Border)
•10 cards within 1,000 (Yellow Border)
•Number Mat (with standard form, expanded form, word form and base ten model)
•Bonus:
•Base Ten cutouts
•Place Value Charts three different versions (tens/ones and hundreds/tens/ones) to use with these cards or for other math activities in your classroom
Here are the four main ways that I would recommend using this product:
•Memory: Play “memory” by cutting out all cards (or all cards within a certain set). Mix the cards and place face down in an array. Students take turns turning over the cards to try to fill their Number Mat to create a complete set.
•Create a Number: Cut out the cards and mix them up. Have students each pull one card and place it on the matching square on their Number Mat. Then have students fill in the rest of the number mat with the other forms of the number.
•Number Hunt: Do a scavenger hunt by cutting the cards out and taping them around the room. Give each student a number (one of the numbers from the cards) and have the students search around the room to find the cards that represent their number. Students can take those cards and tape them to their Number Mat. Have students do a gallery walk or share and show with a partner to show how they can prove that all versions of the number represent their number.
•War: Cut the cards (and put in sets based on if you want students to focus on within 20, 100 or 1,000). In pairs, each student draws a card, and students have to compare the value of the card. Students will have different forms of the numbers and that is okay! The student with the higher value card gets to keep the pair of cards. The goal is to have the most cards at the end of the game.
I hope you enjoy these Pumpkin Place Value Cards!
