Description
This bundle will introduce your students to 5 types of punctuation that writers can use to add a dramatic element to their writing. The punctuation marks and their purposes highlighted in this bundle include:
- parentheses (to insert information that is unimportant into the sentence)
- dashes (to insert information into the sentence that the author wishes to draw attention to)
- ellipses (to indicate a pause in thought or action)
- colons (to announce or introduce an item or a series of items)
- commas (to directly address someone)
- commas (to provide an essential explanation)
Students will be given many opportunities to edit writing pieces by inserting the appropriate punctuation.
