Description
Riddles are a great way to make a boring worksheet fun. However, I found students knew the answer to the riddle and just chose the answers to fill in the letters without doing any of the math. This way, students have to create the riddle before they can answer it.

The students enjoyed this activity and they were very engaged.

There are two words with the same answer, so that confused some of my students. Other than that, this is a good resource. I liked the different take on solving the riddle worksheets.
My student loved this resource. They enjoyed the riddle
My students struggled a bit, but once they got the hang of it it was great. I loved the 1 by 1 triangle because they all thought it was 1, it was fun showing them that it wasn't true. My only drawback is that when you scan the qr code with an iphone photo app, which is how most kids scan qr codes these days, it takes them to a gun holster webpage. If you scan it with an actual qr code app it will show the actual text. I've had lots of issues with this in the past so I don't use them anymore because of that.
Good :)
Awesome
I don't know if I'll be able to use this resource in the future. There were a few issues I had with it. The first was that the riddle was extremely difficult to answer. Since a few questions had the same value, there were two words for the answer and students had to figure out which one worked. This made it difficult for students. The biggest issue I have is that the riddle's answer you find by using a QR code. If you use that QR code to take it to the Google search of the answer, the search results are completely inappropriate for school. I actually collected the worksheet before the hour ended because I didn't want parents to see it at home.
On a positive note, it was organized well and the questions were perfect problems for students.
