Math Adventure Format
- Test on a topic
- Incorrect answers require students to watch videos, take notes, and re-test. This will be a never-ending cycle UNTIL they get a question correct on that topic!
- Correct answers give them the option of watching videos and taking notes (in case they still want it), re-testing to gain confidence and practice on a particular skill, or moving on to the next topic in the event that this topic was too easy for them!
- Since students will not finish this activity in one sitting, I have adjusted the settings so that students can "Submit" their form, but then "Edit After Submit." This ensures progress is not lost and the activity can be resumed.
Tips and Ideas:
- Share the videos with your students (the notes template has the links!).
Each video addresses a specific Quadratics Skill. You can assign these videos individually to students depending on their needs (absences, struggling, more practice, etc).
OR - Assign the 98-Page Math Adventure to your students and integrate the videos + notes template into this activity! There is a video for each topic represented in the Math Adventure. Additionally, there are extra video links already programmed into the activity for students to utilize in the event that my video was not enough.
- Personalize the 98-Page Math Adventure Google Form by:
1. Replacing my name "Del Rio" to yours
2. Changing the background color and theme
3. Re-phrasing each message to fit your teacher persona
4. Adding in extra sections and extra videos! - Follow up on the 98-page Math Adventure by administering the Auto-Graded Google Form quiz! There are 8 total questions, one for each topic.

Skills covered in these videos include: Calculating the Vertex Coordinate when given a Standard Form Equation, Simplifying Algebraic Expressions (aka Vertex Form to Standard Form, and Factored Form to Standard Form), Calculating Roots of a Parabola using 3 methods (graphical, factoring, and quadratic formula), basic knowledge on writing a Vertex Form equation when given a graph, Vertex Coordinate word problems, basic knowledge on determining concavity of parabolas, symmetry of a parabola, and finding the Axis of Symmetry of a Parabola when given Factored Form.
