Description

Quick images can be used as an engaging routine to support students in their understanding of composing and decomposing numbers visually. Students build their skills of subitizing, their ability to recognize a number of items without counting, to determine the quantity of the group in each image. Show these image cards for 3-5 seconds and have students share the number they saw and how they saw that number. Quick images are a great way to build number sense!

This resource includes:

  • 36 printable dot cards that visually represent numbers 2-10
  • Google Slides that match the printable dot cards
