Description
Review one-step multiplication and division word problems with these fun task cards! Students have the option to quiz-quiz-trade, scoot, or use these in a center.
Quiz-Quiz-Trade
Allow students to get in pairs. One student will choose a card and pose the question to the other student. They can cover the answer with their thumb or fold it back so the other student does not see. After the student answers the problem correctly, the students switch roles. The recording sheet is optional for this method.
Task Cards
Cut the answers off of each card. Place cards in a center or have them displayed around the room for more of a “scavenger hunt” feel. Students will go to the cards at their own pace and write their answers on the recording sheet.
Scoot
Cut the answers off of each card. Pass one card out to each desk. Students will answer the card on their recording sheet and then switch seats at a signal. You may choose to have students change seats or rotate cards.

Perfect Movement Activity
Met expectations
Great value
Standards-aligned
Great way to get kids up and moving to review their multiplication and division skills.
This was a perfect, engaging activity for my students to review word problem solving together!
I've used these in a couple different grade levels and they are incredibly helpful and engaging. I used them with my 5th graders as a warm-up review in the beginning of the year, and I used them with 3rd graders as an end of the year wrap up activity.
This was great with my students. A great way to encourage collaboration and get them up and moving.
I used this so that all students could be engaged in solving the problems. They had to commuicate and praise peers as they went around the room.
I love this!
These are great cards for student engagement and multiplication/division practice.
I used this resource for independent work during small groups. The questions were clear and it went really well!
I used these questions to give practice with worded division problems. These task cards were simple, using easy to understand language. As a bonus, I could use them in Australia. (No use of American spelling or measurements such as feet and inches etc).

CCSS3.OA.A.2
Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
CCSS3.OA.A.3
Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
