Quoting Text Charts
Share

Description

These two charts will help students understand how to properly quote text, both in terms of formatting and maximizing meaning. They also help students compare proper quoting techniques with incorrect and/or inefficient techniques, by providing a simple T-chart structure. The clean formatting helps students clearly see what they should and shouldn't do when it comes to quoting a text. One chart is for formatting/punctuation (cover photo) and the other is for maximizing meaning (preview photo). I print both charts on poster-sized paper for my classroom walls, and print regular copies for my students' writing folders.
