Here is a fun and engaging ELA "Bossy R" center activity. Print on cardstock and laminate. Students will read the picture on each card, and use a clothespin to indicate which r-controlled vowel spelling pattern is in that word. Put a sticker on the back of each correct behind the correct answer so students can self-assess and have instant feedback on the skill. Also, the multiple choice aspect helps students prepare for standardized testing.
