Description

In this concept formation lesson, students define what it means to be revolutionary. They begin by collaborating with their peers to create a working definition themselves. Then, they expand their understanding of the concept by distinguishing between four historical examples and non-examples of political and cultural revolutions:

  • Boudicca's Revolt
  • The Boxer Rebellion
  • The Haitian Revolution
  • The Industrial Revolution

This is the perfect introductory activity to a longer unit on historical revolutions!
