I purchased this just today and went over it, and personally do not think this is worth almost $50. I purchased another one similar for $2.50. Hoping it will work, but super disappointed in the content for the price.

Hi Sarah! I highly suggest actually using the study guide prior to judging the content or effectiveness of it! You won’t know how good (or bad) it is until you have done so. I wrote this guide after taking an 8 hour class from one of my professors (who not only has a doctorate in education, but also was on the team that updates & maintains the RICA exam). You must truly familiarized yourself with it & then put it to use by taking the exam. There have been countless people who have had amazing success with the RICA after using this guide. I wrote this in depth study guide after I passed the RICA. I did not use the information and method from the study guide the first time I took the exam, but once I did use it, I passed with flying colors & found the exam extremely easy. So, yes, please study & memorize the majority of the guide, take the exam, and then report back. We should all also remember to never judge a book by its cover. Thank you Sarah & good luck!

This is a great addition to the book Ready for RICA by James Zarrillo. It follows the book exactly. Basically is is an outline of the book. Which was extremely helpful for me because instead of having to make my own notes this did all the beginning work for me. It was a great supplement where I could add additional info to each sub topic. I take the text next week, I feel like I am much more prepared now with these notes then when I was studying without them.

I bought this guide as well as two other study books to prepare for the RICA and I've gotta say, this guide perfectly aligns with everything discussed in both study books. All the main topics and sub-topics are listed. It's a perfect list of everything you will need to know to pass the RICA.
