Description

In this drag & drop digital activity for Google Slides, students match the graph of a radical function with its equation. This activity includes 8 graphs: a combination of square and cube roots. Only basic translations are included, transformations and reflections. This activity can be used as a refresher for function transformations before graphing other radical functions or as a fast formative assessment.

Met expectations
Great value
Standards-aligned
This was a great follow-up to the lesson on graphing radical functions with transformations. Students had to pay attention to the parameters in each function rule then match the graph. I had students work in pairs and overheard great discussions while moving around the room. Misconceptions were clarified before tasking students with sketching graphs by hand.
