This is a FREE product to introduce the topic of "Radicals".
A definition or a radical is provided, as well as a large labelled diagram of a radical, with detailed definitions and information about each part of the radical symbol - this part alone can even be expanded and printed on large paper for a classroom poster.
The difference between rational radicals and irrational radicals (surds) are explained, with questions to test this.
Finally, there are a set of question at the end, where students must add numbers to the radicand of an irrational radical so that it can be classified as a rational radical.
