Description

Hate organizing groups in your class? Want to make getting into groups fun and engaging? Well, I’ve got you covered! Randomized groupings of students are all the rage now. Throw away the popsicle sticks or name tags and make getting into groups FUN! Having students work in groups can lead to increased engagement, improved learning outcomes and support for students who require it as well.

When we randomize our groupings, it helps to ensure that there are not differences with the students and this becomes evident to them as well. It is a wonderful way to help promote equity in your classroom. Students learn from each other, and they can all contribute to the task in their own way.

Download this bundle of over 41 sets of flash cards to randomize your student groupings. You can use a variety of sets to make groups of 2, 3 or even 4 students. Each set can work with 32 – 40 students. This is a low-prep task that will be very easy to use in your classroom. All you need to do is print, laminate and cut out your cards. When your students need to work in groups choose the set that works best for you. Hand each student a card and they will have to go and find their partner or other members that will match their card to create a group.

All the sets of flash cards are math or literacy-based ranging from an early primary level all the way up to tasks for the middle school student. What is great is that even the simplest set of flash cards could be used with any grade since they are used just to find their partner(s). This is one way to increase that engagement with your students.

You may find that if you are a primary teacher that these randomized grouping cards may be multipurpose in that you could use them for the consolidation of some basic literacy and numeracy skills or add them to one of your centres in your classroom for extra practice.

Here is what you'll get:

● 41 math and literacy sets of flash cards at a variety of levels that will allow you to make groupings of anywhere 2-4 students, that’s over 250+ pages

● instructions on how to use

● including sets of numbers, numbers with words, numbers with base ten blocks, adding and subtracting, multiplying, dividing as well as more challenging math concepts, including shapes and colours, what objects go together, upper- and lower-case letters, rhyming words, patterns, what pictures go together and even riddles

● covers for each set so that you can easily keep track of the type of set of cards as well as what how many groups it will allow you to make

● engaging colours and visuals throughout

Prep is quick and easy... Just print, laminate and cut out for use for years to come!
