Description

These cheat sheets are perfect to either print out and laminate as a classroom poster or print as a class set for students to use on assignments or quizzes/tests as you see fit. I print out and laminate the colored versions on cardstock and then put them on a bulletin board labeled 'OMG: Outstanding Math Guide.' I started the year with the multiplication chart and add one each time we get to a new unit. Then, I print a class set of the b&w version and have each student add it to their own personal OMG (a plastic 3-prong folder with sheet protectors in it). Students may use their OMG on quizzes and tests in my class.

Understand the concept of a unit rate 𝘒/𝘣 associated with a ratio 𝘒:𝘣 with 𝘣 β‰  0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. For example, β€œThis recipe has a ratio of 3 cups of flour to 4 cups of sugar, so there is 3/4 cup of flour for each cup of sugar.” β€œWe paid $75 for 15 hamburgers, which is a rate of $5 per hamburger.”
Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed. For example, if it took 7 hours to mow 4 lawns, then at that rate, how many lawns could be mowed in 35 hours? At what rate were lawns being mowed?
