What others say
"To-the-Square-Inch is probably my favorite seller to get resources from. One of the reasons I love this resource and so many others is because it is no-prep, easy for students to use, while giving a great practice/review. "

"Used with 6th graders in small groups to review and reinforce ratio concepts. It was a quick math activity - the coloring took longer than the math. Everyone was happy in the end. "

Great Resource from my Fave
To-the-Square-Inch is probably my favorite seller to get resources from. One of the reasons I love this resource and so many others is because it is no-prep, easy for students to use, while giving a great practice/review.

Great resource, thank you! My students loved using this.
Great assignment for early finishers or for a day when you want something fun, but engaging.
My district has a half day built into the calendar every month, which cuts my instructional time in half and makes the kids go crazy while they are in class. This was a fantastic activity to have for our October half day, because my sixth grade students could review ratio concepts that we did at the beginning of the year while still having a fun time coloring the mystery picture. This is an excellent resource that was very well thought out (multiple answers having the same color, the color-by-number part of the activity was very well laid out so that students couldn't see the finished product until the end). I highly recommend this color-by-code!
To the square inch makes my favorite online resources.
Great resource. Students enjoyed the activities.

CCSS6.RP.A.1
Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. For example, “The ratio of wings to beaks in the bird house at the zoo was 2:1, because for every 2 wings there was 1 beak.” “For every vote candidate A received, candidate C received nearly three votes.”
CCSS6.RP.A.2
Understand the concept of a unit rate 𝘢/𝘣 associated with a ratio 𝘢:𝘣 with 𝘣 ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. For example, “This recipe has a ratio of 3 cups of flour to 4 cups of sugar, so there is 3/4 cup of flour for each cup of sugar.” “We paid $75 for 15 hamburgers, which is a rate of $5 per hamburger.”
