Ratios, Rates, & Proportions Task Cards
Students will practice writing ratios in the three forms, converting to ratios from percents, calculating unit rates, find missing values from equivalent ratios, and determining if ratios are proportional.
Task cards are a great self-paced activity to use with students for independent practice, small groups, partner work, or station rotations.
Based on the 2023 Virginia Grade 6 Math SOL Standards:
6.PFA.1 & 6.PFA.2
- writing and simplifying ratios
- determining if two ratios are proportional
- finding missing values in an equivalent ratio table
- finding missing values in a proportion
- determining if a ratio table is proportional
- finding unit rate given a contextual situation
- finding a missing value using the unit rate
