Great Visual Product to guide students understanding of reading, writing, and comparing numbers. It will help your students transfer their concrete understanding of the value of numbers to the abstract. Less Procedures/More Critical Thinking!!!

This Product contains a (Chalkboard Theme) PowerPoint Math Lesson/Task Cards/I CAN POSTER . This lesson concentrates on Common Core Standard 4.NBT.2: It is aligned to the common core standards, as well as the mathematical practices. (I CAN read and write multi-digit whole numbers and compare them based on the place value of each digit.. It is designed to enhance conceptual development, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Math Task Cards aligned to Common Core Math Standard:

4.NBT.2 - Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to read multi-digit whole numbers written in standard form or word form.
  2. Students will be able to write the numeral in the other two forms(numeric, word form, or expanded form) when given a multi-digit number in any form.
  3. Students will be able to compare two multi-digit numbers using < , >, and = symbols.
  4. Students will be able to order several multi-digit numbers from least to greatest or greatest to least when at least two of the numbers have the same number of digits.

When Can I use Task Cards? They can be used to introduce, reinforce, remediation, or enrich math skills!

I'm glad that you have enjoyed the powerpoints, just finished using 4.nbt.1 to help my students visually understand the values of number using division and multiplication. Using Task Cards tomorrow to play scoot before their quiz!! Thanks for the great feedback and support!!!
