Description

This colorful and easy to use word problem math center includes 144 different task cards based on the application problems from EngageNY First Grade Math Modules and a reproducible work-mat. Print the work-mat on cardstock and laminate it or put it in a sheet protector and use dry erase markers to make it reusable for easy day-to-day use. The task cards can be printed in sets of however many you need on cardstock and laminated for durability. Pass out the work-mats and paperclip the task card to the "Read it!" box. Students can mark-up the problem, draw their thinking, and write a number sentence and a solution statement. The grey numbers in the lower right corner of the task cards indicate what unit and lesson they correspond with. NOTE: Not all lessons have an application problem in them.

Great for individual work, partners, small groups, and centers!

Problems include sums and differences to 10, sums and differences to 20, sums and differences to 40, sums and differences to 100, place value, ordering and comparing length measurements as numbers, and geometry.

We will be using these during first grade WIN (What I Need) Time. We do a small group model and this will be perfect. I put the Read Write Draw page in sleeves for kids to use white board markers with.
