The main purpose of this resource is to hold students accountable for what they’re reading independently and give the teacher another way to monitor and assess students’ progress.
The beauty of this resource is that it can be used in multiple ways. Students can complete these in class or as homework. You can do these activities in small groups/partners/whole group. After reading a portion of a book, students should complete one square of the Bingo card. They should complete 3 or 4 in a row (depending on which card they are using), and can go horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. I have placed the activities intentionally on the boards to vary skills and the type of activity. These activities are meant to take no longer than 10 to 15 minutes each to complete.

- 4 x 4 Bingo Card
- student response pages- 3 responses per page sheet, 2 responses per page sheet with lines, and 2 responses per page sheet without lines

I love this resource as and easy way to encourage reading at home - my students did find a typo on one of the pages, though.
