Reading Skills: Summary, Story Elements, Text Features, Prediction, BME, Main Idea, Sequence of Events, Character Traits, Compare/Contrast, Cause/Effect, and many more.
This foldable includes:
-Cover page: Have students choose a fiction or non-fiction story. Students will write the title and author, then draw the cover of the book. Students will trace and circle the type of story, then after reading the book they will rate the book by coloring in the stars.
-Story Elements & SWBST: Students will need these sheets if they’re reading a fiction story.
-Text Features What?? & Where??: Students will need these sheet if they’re reading a non-fiction story.
-Vocabulary: Students will use this sheet for both fiction or non-fiction stories. They can pick unfamiliar words they came across while reading or the teacher can choose words from the text. Students will write the words, create a sentence, then draw a picture.
-Reading Skills for fiction & non-fiction: Choose a reading skill you are targeting in reading and include it in your reader’s response foldable.
