I designed this unit to send home with my students for the summer. But this could be used to encourage reading at home at any point during the school year, or holidays. The idea is that every time a child reads 20 minutes, they colour in a circle. If they read 400 Minutes, they earn a Bronze Level, if they read 800 minutes, they earn Silver Level, and if they read 1000 minutes, they earn gold. To earn gold they would have to read 50 days or nights. When they reach or achieve each goal, there is a certificate and book mark to congratulate their achievement. I have also included "Wall of Fame" sheets to use as a display in your library/classroom to display their achievements
